A-SAFE is the global leader in polymer safety systems. In 2001, we invented the world’s first industrial strength polymer safety barrier, transforming workplace safety. Since then, we have continued to develop and engineer world-class safety products at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Elland, UK. Industrial-strength A-SAFE barriers are produced from Memaplex™, a unique polymer material with an in-built memory to provide unrivalled strength, flexibility and resilience. They are engineered to protect people, machinery and critical structures against impacts from forklift trucks and other workplace vehicles.

In 2017, A-SAFE worked with the British Standards Institution to sponsor and author PAS 13 – the first and only Code of Practice for safety barriers used in workplace environments. PAS 13 contains best practice traffic management procedures to reduce the risk of accidents, as well as guidelines for assessing the impact-resilience of barriers to ensure they are fit for purpose.
