Glasar was registered on February 22, 1993. Its primary activity was the import of tableware from the French company ARC International, manufactured under the Luminarc, Arcoroc, and Cristal d'Arques brands. The company also provided wholesale supplies of various consumer goods to Moscow retail chains and maintained contracts with customers throughout the Russian Federation. In 1997, the company began collaborating with suppliers from China. An agreement was signed for the exclusive representation of the "Porcelain with Bronze 1895" brand in the Russian Federation. Various import routes from Asian countries were also developed. 2004 marked the beginning of the development of its own retail network. Glasar-branded stores opened in all major Russian cities. More and more customers from various cities across our country were able to experience the luxury and sophisticated style offered in the company's wide selection of stores.
In 2008, our company became the official distributor of the PYREX brand, offering glass and metal kitchenware, thereby expanding and strengthening its presence in the home goods market.
By 2015, the last regional Glasar store closed. This was due to the 2014 currency crisis, which significantly impacted the retail price of imported goods.
Another milestone for the company came in 2018, when it signed its first agreement with a major home goods marketplace. Since then, its development has increasingly shifted toward the global trend of online commerce.
